At Fairlawn Elementary School, we provide a positive and supportive learning environment that helps every student succeed. We proudly partner with our multilingual families, including those who speak Spanish and Mixteco, to strengthen learning and community connections. Together, we empower students to grow academically and socially in a welcoming, respectful school community.

Kinder & TK Registration 2026
You can register your child for kindergarten or transitional kindergarten (TK) at any school in the Santa Maria-Bonita School District, including Fairlawn Elementary School.
For packets and assistance with completing your packets, please visit the Fairlawn Elementary School office or your nearest school.

Eight Santa Maria-Bonita School District Students Recognized Through the Dolores Huerta Education Award Program
Eight Santa Maria-Bonita School District (SMBSD) junior high students and their teacher sponsors have been recognized by the Dolores Huerta Education Awards Program through the California Teachers Association (CTA).
This CTA award program provides recognition for educators and their students who demonstrate an understanding of the vision and guiding principles embraced by Dolores Huerta.

The Santa Maria-Bonita School District (SMBSD) will host a comprehensive, two-day Job Expo next month to recruit and hire new personnel to support our 17 elementary schools and four junior high schools. Friday, June 26: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday, June 27: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
